Change to service for basic accounts

Today we implemented a change to the Basic level PhotoShow service, limiting PhotoShows to 12 photos per show. We know that some basic users may be upset by this change, but we hope that you will continue using PhotoShow as a basic user or, even better, purchasing a Premium subscription to get access to all the styles, content, music, and video features.

PhotoShow is the premiere service for sharing the best stories of your life with the people you care about most. Premium subscribers can add up to 400 photos and videos to a show, add custom MP3 files to their shows, and get the PhotoShow 6 desktop software for burning DVDs.

For Basic users, 12 photos still makes a fun PhotoShow, and you can make as many as you like. In addition, we've added new features for all users such as the Blackberry PhotoShow uploader, new styles, and sharper image quality.

upload shows with MP3s from desktop

In addition to the new features online (see previous post), we have also released an update to the PhotoShow 6 application. You can get it on your account page or just wait for the auto-update. This new version includes:

• Post your shows with custom MP3 music on your member page!
• Delete shows directly from the My PhotoShows screen
• Import shows from PhotoShow 4 and 5
• Improved stability and easier access to "Steps 1, 2, 3" tabs
• Updated DVD burn engine for the latest device support
• Updated Help document

This is a must-have release! With your own music and the shaper, crisper photos online, your shows will look and sound amazing!

If you're a big PhotoShow 5 user, now you can get those advanced shows with custom MP3 online just by importing them into 6 then publishing to your member page.

Add your own music, improved photo quality

We're really excited to announce that can now use your own MP3 music in your PhotoShows (Premium subscription required)! Just click the Music tab and then upload any DRM-free your own MP3 from your computer. DRM-free MP3s can be purchased at Amazon or created when you rip music from CDs you own.

We've also improved the display resolution of photos in your PhotoShow. Photos now look crisper and sharper. Your shows will look and sound amazing with these new features!
