If you have an Android phone, go get Roxio PhotoShow Facebook Edition, the new app from Roxio available on the Android Market! (Just search for Roxio in the market to find it.)
PhotoShow Facebook Edition allows you quickly create and publish fun slideshows onto your Facebook wall directly from your phone or tablet. No PhotoShow account necessary. And for right now, it's FREE.
Make sure you're running the latest version of Android 2.2 (or later), and be sure to install Adobe AIR from the Android Market. If you can't find AIR on the market, check the Adobe compatibility page to see if your phone or device should work with AIR.
Add pictures from your phone, camera, or Facebook account.
Select an interactive style and play your slideshow, or swipe your photos to view them at your own pace
Use a bar code reader app on your Android phone to go directly to the app using the below image.
Well, now there's a new way to get your PhotoShows into the living room: Google TV. We recently acquired the Logitech Revue box with Google TV and are happy to report that PhotoShows, for the most part, work pretty well.
Google TV supports web browsing via the built-in Chrome browser, and it also supports Adobe Flash (which comes installed so you don't have to go through the process). So, we were able to play our PhotoShows just using the standard controls. There's no special interface or application to install. You simply browse to www.photoshow.com, sign in, and play your shows.
It wasn't quite perfect, though. Shows with video don't play back very well, it seems, so stick to shows with photos only for now. Also, the frame rate is closer to 8 frames per second, rather than up to 30 on a standard desktop or notebook computer, so transitions and motion can look a little jumpy.
Still, you can play full-screen and even share shows right from the comfort of your sofa. Nice!
